Where mutual funds own a large part of a company, where their holding would take many days of trading to sell, which companies fund houses newly moved into, and which funds trade the most and the least.

When funds own a large part of a company, their buying and selling can move its price, and many of them may want to sell at the same time. The share is an estimate: company shares come from AMFI’s six-month average NSE market value divided by the average NSE price, adjusted for later bonuses and splits. It counts the fund houses that disclosed that month, so it rises when more of them disclose; the change column counts only schemes that disclosed in both months.

“Days of trading” is how many average days of all NSE trading in the stock the funds’ holding equals. Selling it without moving the price would take several times longer, since funds are only part of each day’s trading. BSE trading is not counted, so true liquidity is somewhat higher.

Twelve-month turnover of each active equity fund’s disclosed Indian shares: the lesser of what it bought and sold, divided by its average equity — SEBI’s definition, estimated from month-end disclosures.
