SIP contribution as the Monthly Note publishes it, which includes domestic fund of funds. The AMFI monthly report’s own SIP column (from August 2026) excludes them and is shown separately below; the two are not mixed. The note’s SIP table is available from Jun 2024; no earlier history is reconstructed.

Registrations less maturities and terminations equals the change in accounts the report prints, so the subtraction is valid. The report’s contribution excludes domestic fund of funds, which is why it is lower than the note’s figure for the same month. AMFI added these columns to the monthly report in August 2026; there is no earlier machine-readable history.

A folio is an investor account in a scheme; one investor can hold many. Open-ended schemes. Asset classes follow the canonical taxonomy, so the 2026 re-labelling does not break these series.

Classified from the plan name AMFI publishes: a plan whose name says Direct is a direct plan; every other non-ETF plan is shown as “other plans” (regular and legacy plans). Institutional money in liquid and overnight schemes raises the direct share, so this is not a measure of retail behaviour alone.

Investor-type AUM (retail, HNI, corporate) and T30/B30 geography were found only in AMFI’s PDF “Industry Data Analysis” publications, with no machine-readable history, so they are not reconstructed here. SIP registrations and terminations before August 2026 were not found as a machine-readable AMFI table and are not back-filled.
